There’s nothing worse than staining your lovely clean carpet – but by following a few easy steps, you can minimise the damage. First of all, clean up stains as soon as possible.  The longer a stain is left, the less likely you are to get it out. When cleaning, first scoop up solids, then blot up as much liquid as you can.  It’s best to do this with a clean white toweling cloth. Apply your spot removal cleaner to your clean cloth and gently dab the stain.  Rinse with lukewarm water, but be careful not to saturate the carpet. As tempting as it is, don’t rub the carpet!  It will permanently distort the pile of the carpet.  Dabbing is your friend! Dry the area by dabbing with a paper towel, or use a cool fan. Without proper maintenance, vinyl and linoleum floors can look old and tired.  They build up: wax, leading to discolouration deep scratches and abrasions. Many people think that their floor needs replacing – but did you know a simple sealing and polishing may be all that is required to make it sparkle like new? We use top quality products which not only produce a great result, but help repel soil and scratches, making general cleaning a breeze. First up, we strip your vinyl floor, completely removing the old sealer. We use a neutral cleaner to clean the surface, to ensure it is free from dust and any remaining residue. We then apply 3-4 coats of the new sealer and allow it to dry.
